Critical Care Physicians:
A subspecialty certification by the Board of Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine or Obstetrics and Gynecology, also Pediatrics (see Pediatric Critical Care). Critical care doctors manage life-threatening disorders in intensive care units (ICU), critical care units and other hospital settings. Their knowledge is broad, involving all aspects of management of the critically ill patient.
